Wedding Voyage 2011 - The beginning of the middle

This is guest blogess Sabrina bringing you part two of Wedding Voyage 2011.  Brandi and Brian didn’t want the blog to go from first leg to “hey, it’s over!” and so Brian asked me to write something up so Brandi could stress about other (though less important than blogging) things.

This is the view you get when escorting Ziggy.

After the Great Beer Explosion of 2011, we meandered to Coldstream.  By meandered I mean that, aside from cleaning up the worst of the beer spray and a fight with a gas pump in Revelstoke, we drove straight here.  We arrived in the early afternoon in a bit of a daze (that didn’t have too much to do with the beer) to a very warm reception from Aunty Kathy, Uncle Dave, Cousin Lisa and dog Molly.  After happily hanging out on the deck, we had a wonderful dinner and then early bed.

Today a trailer full of tables, chairs and a barbeque arrived.  A little later on, the two huge tents were set up.  We are happy to report that if rain does dare to fall on the wedding day, there will be enough room for everyone under the tents which means I don’t have to figure out how to cheat at drawing straws.  Dave is tending to the yard every day, and it looks fantastic.  I can’t think of a more beautiful backyard for a wedding.

Brandi had her consultation hair appointment and then kept me company for the two and a half hours it took to dye parts of my hair blue while Brian went for lunch with his dad.  We came back in time to catch Aunt Cora, Sister Brianne and her boyfriend Chris.  We hung out on the deck, played with hula hoops and worked on some of the wedding decorations before dinner at a local pub.

Brian has retired early for the evening, and I’m cheering Brandi on while she writes her vows.  I’ve changed time zones twice on this trip and am quite temporally confused, so I’m not exactly sure what the official day count is at this point.  Nevertheless, stay tuned!  More exciting news to follow!
