Sitting in the frankfurt airport waiting for our plane. Fortunately the flight only takes 2 hours and 5 minutes. 1:45–3:50. Those couple of hours will seem like 10 hours to us.
Sadly we must leave this wonderous land of foreign languages, strange food combinations and efficient train systems.
We will return to this fun adventure. That we have already promised ourselves.
Yesterday after posting, we wandered around this wonderful place (Baden-Baden) some more, and caught a bus to the edge of town, where we took a funicular (a funny little car up a steep track on a mountain, like the one we took to the salt mine in Hallstatt. This one took us up a mountain called Mürker, where it was so windy we could barely believe it. We took some shots from up there, but like much of the weather we’ve had, it was pretty grey and cloudy. We walked around the top of the mountain, played on a playground

Last time we checked in, we were in Switzerland, on our way to the Fürigen Fortress — it took us a while to find it (I suppose that´s the point of a hidden fortress carved into a mountain), but we did eventually. We got to wear Swiss Army coats (big long grey wool), which delighted Brian to no end. Personally, I just found it… heavy. The fortress itself was pretty cool — we got to aim giant machine guns out the side of the mountain.

I think if you click on the picture it will get bigger. Now THIS is how parking needs to be done. Yes, that is a smart car parked between two small hatchbacks. Only the back part of the car was barely on the side walk but not enough to bother pedestrians. North America, take note and imitate. Please.
