Sparkling Hill

We all slept in the morn­ing after the wed­ding.  Some very groggy peo­ple finally started to stir around 9.  A cou­ple peo­ple didn’t man­age to roll on out of bed until after noon!

We drank cof­fee and cleaned up the yard and the kitchen, and stopped for many more good­byes as peo­ple fil­tered out to jour­ney back home.

Mid after­noon, the last of us finally left Kathy’s & Dave’s.  We headed up to Sparkling Hill Resort, on Lake Okana­gan.  Fer­nando, Nathan, and Stella came with us to take a look around.

It’s a fan­tas­ti­cally glitzy place — owned by Swarovski.

Wedding Day

We’re mar­ried!!!

But…  Let’s pick up where we pre­vi­ously left off…

Sat­ur­day morn­ing, we slept as late as we could, which turned out to be around 8 or so.  Lots of things flit­ted about our brains, and the day was warm and sunny from the start — both these things got us up and out of bed before long.

While Sab­rina and I (Brandi) spent 4 hours at the hair salon, the rest of the crew hung mason jars and strings of roadmap-stars, set tables, and other assorted last minute bits.

Wedding Voyage 2011 - Wedding Eve

Happy Canada Day!

The last 18 or so hours have been a whirl­wind of activity.

Start­ing early in the day, Brandi, Sab­rina, and Bri­anne were up and off to get man­i­cures and pedi­cures at a local beauty salon while Brian set him­self on get­ting the last of the mason jars all wired together.  As the day pro­gressed more and more peo­ple started to arrive and stop by the house to lend assis­tance and give well wishes.  All together the final bits were all finished up.
